They say I should write a book. They're probably right. Oh what a story it would be. But for now, I will keep it short.

This journey began back in 1996, when a great friend of mine from high school and I drove down to Daytona Beach. During our adventure, we discovered an all-day, non-stop karaoke bar. Not 9-12 or 9-1, but ALL-DAY. Well, needless to say, the addiction started there. We couldn't stop singing. On the long drive back to PA, my mind got to work.

Bob Williams of Allentown, whose karaoke store is still in business (www.BobWilliamsKaraoke.com), helped get the ball rolling. He advised me on everything I would need to get started, and in January of 1997 I hosted my first karaoke show - at the Krumsville Inn.

Soon after, I did a show at the Kempton Fire Company. It was here that the owner at the time of the Lynnville Hotel approached me. Around this time I also approached the Kuhnsville Inn. The Lynnville Hotel and Kuhnsville Inn became instant successes and would be a big part of my life.

After a memorable first year in the business, I had an opportunity to return to where I will always call "home", even though I was born and raised here in PA. I had an opportunity to move back to Arizona. I went to college at Arizona State University from 1991-1995, graduating with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism (if I ever sound like a radio DJ over the microphone, that's why. LOL.) So I loaded up my Ford F-150 with everything I owned, including all of my karaoke equipment and headed west. I never felt so free in my life. I will never forget that feeling.

I found a karaoke home at three great establishments in Arizona - Superstition Skies, Cobb's, and Famous Sam's. I could write a book just on these two plus years I spent back in Arizona. I still keep in touch with some of the wonderful people I got to know during that time. Many were like family to me. Personal issues (which would require a book of their own) caused me to return to PA in July of 2000. Make no mistake ... things DO happen for a reason.

The owners of the Lynnville Hotel and the Kuhnsville Hotel both graciously allowed me to return to their establishments upon my return, and the rest is ... as they say ... history. I spent another 11 plus years at the Lynnville Hotel (leaving in December of 2012) and am to this day at the Kuhnsville Inn, now one of the longest continuously running shows in the Lehigh Valley.

Someday I will write that book, and stories that happened along the way will be told. Many names will be changed to protect the guilty (LOL), but you will see how this journey has affected, and continues to affect, my life in so many ways.

I have met so many great people, and to those of you who helped me along the way and who support me to this day, THANK YOU! Each of you mean more to me and my family than you will ever know. And to my beautiful wife, pictured with me on the left, thank you for putting up with me and this crazy lifestyle.

Thank you to all of the establishments that gave me a chance along the way:
